One could never forget the golden era of Munipalle Subbaiah, Govindarajula Subbarao, CSR Anjaneyulu, SV.Rangarao, Rajanala, Satyanarayana, Mukkamala, Dhulipala, R.Nageswararao, Tyagaraju, Rao Gopalarao who entertained all with their trade mark villainism.
They used take viewers to different level with their powerful performances. Now fimmakers are importing villains from Mumbai,Kerala,Tamil Nadu. This is affecting telugu nativity as however good the actors are they couldn't pronounce some local words perfectly.
Prakash Raj,Shayaji Shinde, Ashish Vidyarthi, Abhimanyu Singh, Mukesh Rishi and others are ruling Tollywood. This is making one wonder whether it is a telugu film or not. Earlier For NTR-ANR's Chanakya Chandragupta, when they thought who suits for the role of Alexander, filmmakers cast Chavalier Sivaji Ganesan. Though he starred, dubbing was done by great Jaggaiah so that telugu nativity remained intact.
Super Star Krishna in his Simhasanam cast Bollywood star Amjad Khan. However that role is that of comedian. He honoured telugu stars casting Satyanarayana, Giribabu and others. Unlike Tollywood other regions don't accept their actors dominated by other regional stars however big they are.
For example in Mithun Chakravathy's Wardat, filmmakers casted our own Tyagaraju. Director showed him in the most fearful manner and everyone appreciated Tyagaraju's performance. However e was not offered another film in Bollywood. Same is the case with Suman who thrilled all in Rajinikanth's Sivaji. After that he got only inconsequential roles.
Kannada Prabhakar got powerful roles in Chiranjeevi films. Even in his homeland he won't be getting such roles. Filmmakers think about it and encourage actors like Rao Ramesh and others who can take villainism to new levels.
