Raj Kumar Hirani, the director of Munna Bhai series made it clear that the next installment of the movie will only begin after the release of Sanjay Dutt who is counting the bars for the conviction in 1993 illegal possession of weapons case. The Supreme court had sentenced him for 5 years jail term. Since he already spent 1.5 years in jail, he is serving the remaining 3.5 years sentence in prison.
‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, both starring Sanjay Dutt, were big hits back then. While there are several speculations on the third film in the series, the script for the third installment is being written but the makers say it is too early to discuss the subjects.
