A happy producer, Ekta Kapoor said, "While we have the advantage of the film being children-friendly, it also has all the commercial masala that the audience expects from an Emraan Hashmi film. Young couples, who want to cuddle up during the spooks and scares, have found their film to do so."
The story revolves around a character named Bobo (Emraan Hashmi) who is a very famous magician. Haunted by a number of illusions, Bobo's life starts falling apart. He is left with no option but to take psychiatric help. Bobo then comes to know that his childhood was haunted by a 'Daayan' who destroyed his entire family and that she had return to put an end to his life too.
Ek Thi Daayan is directed by Kannan Iyer, produced by Alt Entertainment and Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures. The film is slated to release on April 19th.
