At first Shahid Kapoor was the choice for the makers, but after shahid walked out of it, it was Maadhavan and Ali Zafar, and then finally John Abraham and Abhishek were suggested. At last, Abhishek has given his nod for the project. John would reprise Suneel's role in the 'Tadakha'. With this, it seems that all the roadblocks holding up the project have finally been cleared. Abbas and Mustan are jointly directing the film who replaced director Linguswamy. However, the lead heroines are yet to be confirmed.
