The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 18,773.45 points was trading at 18,792.17 points, up by 47.24 points or 0.25 percent from previous closure at 9:20 am.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading at 5,708.65 up by 19.70 points or 0.35 percent.
The BSE midcap index was trading 0.53 percent up while BSE smallcap index was trading higher by 0.45 percent.
