Pran, who started his career with the 1945 film ‘Yamla Jat’, went on to act as the baddie in many Bollywood films. It is said that there was a time when parents would refuse to name their children Pran, for fear that they might grow up and choose wicked ways, such was his image as a villain!
Pran acted in over 400 movies in a career spanning over six decades and played a vast range of roles, from a hero to a villain to a character artist.
