Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani shooting was really adventures - Ayan Mukerji

Ayan Mukerji, who is directing the much hyped upcoming film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', says that the whole crew of the film had a lot of adventures during its shooting schedule in Shimla. However, it looks to be a fun-oriented movie when we go through the trailer of the film.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Many sequences of the film were shot in the Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir, where the weather was too cold during the month of January. Meanwhile, the complete cast of the film had to toil very to go through the bitter conditions.

    There were especially food hassles.

"It was a big hassle to take food to that height, so everyone had to survive on eggs and instant noodles for a few days," said the source.

Likewise, in Himachal Pradesh, the weather conditions were a big problem for the entire cast.

"It was very cold. And the hotel in which Ranbir and Deepika stayed, had power cuts for several hours a day. There were no heaters either," the source added.

However, Mukerji said the adventure was totally worth it.

"Our first schedule was in Manali. We were depicting a trek in the movie, so we consciously chose locations that were offbeat and in the middle of nowhere. Jalori Pass, especially, was a crazy location. It was a steep, uphill climb to reach the location, a real trek of sorts.

"However, all these things added a lot more adventures to our shooting schedule. And we consider it as one of the best shoots ever," added Mukerji.

The film also stars Kalki Koechlin and Kunal Kapoor playing the key roles and is all set to release on May 31st.
