Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal feels sad for co-actor Sanjay Dutt who is due to surrender tomorrow, on May 16.
Arjun while interacting with media at an event said, "It's distressing and upsetting (that Sanjay has to go to jail). It's sad that all this is happening with him. He needs strength and prayers at this time. We all are with him. His family needs support and we are with them".
The duo worked together in David Dhawan's comic directorial Rascals.
As a matter of co-incidence, Om Shanti Om and Ra.One saw Dutt in guest appearance and in both the films, Arjun played villain. At another instance, the iconic role of legendary actor Pran in Zanjeer remake was allotted to Arjun initially. However, the job was later transferred to Dutt.
Sanju is convicted of possessing illegal arms. He filed a review petition, but since Supreme Court has upheld its decision, Dutt will have give up tomorrow to serve his remaining term of three and a half years.
