However Arya at the first instance rejects her citing family conditions but later changes his mind. However Ramya refuses this time as she has given green signal for her parents find. But Madhu pursues her and while on Goa trip Ramya comes to know that her suitor couldn't proceed ahead due to dowry. Ramya finally accepts when everything is going smoothly unexpected twist occurs.

In the meantime another story unfolds in another world altogether. Evil King try to kidnap a girl whom people regard as Amma (God). There men treat women as slaves including the king. Mahendra (Arya) falls in love with Varna (Anushka) who lives a free and bold life weilding sword. The king imprisons her and asks Arya to kill a evil animal to free her.

Mahendra does so but when he wish to marry Varna, she tries to kill the King and gets banished from the kingdom. What is the connection between the two love stories in two different worlds one should findout on silverscreen.

    Performance:
Anushka tried her best to bring variance in her performance as innocent doctor and female warrior. She was ok as doctor but as female warrior she didnot get much scope to perform. She is putting on weight and is fast loosing her sheen.

Arya performed well as lover out to impress the girls in both the worlds. He showed different shades as a timid person and even as a warrior showing his muscles. Even as a honest lover he performed well. Others did their bit in the film.

    Technical Aspects:
Production values of PVP banner is of high standard. Editing could have been far better. Cinematography is excellent.

Music and of Harris Jeyaraj and Back ground music by Anirudh is good.

Songs are OK but director failed to convert them into success with poor direction and screenplay.

    Plus Points:
    Music, Back ground music
    Cinematography
    Graphics

    Minus Points:
    Anushka
    Weak screenplay,direction
    Slow pace
    Unconvincing story
    Climax

    Analysis:
Selva Raghavan planned to script his way to success with two simultaneous love stories in different worlds. Though it is interesting to hear that he failed in his execution. Forgetting the slow pace in the first half, though it was bearable, he missed the plot in the second half. Finally he was not sure on how to end the film.

He planned to connect it like Hollywood flick Avatar and though he has the backing of high technology, week screenplay and direction spoiled everything.

Anushka's role is not chalked out properly as a warrior and connection between two worlds is not at all convincing.

    Final Word:
    Varna belies all expectations.
