Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has announced that he is retiring after playing his 200th test match that will be played at Mumbai and Kolkata soon. He wrote a letter to BCCI informing the same and it was acknowledged by it. In his letter to BCCI, he writes “It is very difficult to imagine life without cricket for me. I have been playing cricket from my 11 years age and my dream to represent India fulfilled. Now, I concentrate on my 200th test match that I am going play soon. I was able to play for so many years only because of the cricket lovers’ encouragement and their blessings. I am very grateful to one and all. I think it is time for me to retire now from the game. I am very much thankful to my fans, family members and to BCCI for their encouragement and support extended to me all these years.”
Sachin Tendulkar has been in cricket for the last 22 years. In his long tenure he played 198 tests and made 15837 runs. He made 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs. He is the first person, who made double centuries in ODI and 100 centuries in two formats.
